Franck Audoux x Ian Luna
French Moderne is Franck Audoux's first book, published by Rizzoli NY in 2019. A snapshot of an era, the interwar period, through the prism of the cocktail, which is studied from a historical, cultural, and social point of view. Through sixty or so recipes, the publication addresses the true nature of the cocktail, not as a fad but as a societal phenomenon.
The idea for the book emerged from a meeting the author had with Ian Luna, and from their friendship, which goes back more than a decade.
Today, once again, the special relationship between the two is at the heart of the Rizzoli Library, which is opening on the second floor of 165 boulevard Saint-Germain. Here, Rizzoli NY and CRAVAN offer a selection of works that, side by side, paint a kaleidoscopic portrait of Cravan and his interests.
