Exquis by Marie Ottavi - Albert Serra

Director of Pacifiction, starring Benoît Magimel, and Tardes de soledad, a documentary about Peruvian bullfighter Andrés Roca Rey, Albert Serra has just completed filming Out of This World, his new feature film starring actress Riley Keough, granddaughter of Elvis Presley. He has agreed to return to CRAVAN to take part in a unique experience: launching Season 2 of Exquis, a series of encounters exploring fashion and our relationship with clothing — just as he did last year.

It is now Albert Serra’s turn to choose the next guest, who will in turn invite the one who follows, and so on. The filmmaker rolls the dice once more, picking up where the journey first began in September 2024, becoming the starting point of a new series of monthly events, revealed exclusively at CRAVAN.

In conversation with Marie Ottavi, Albert Serra will share his earliest clothing memories, the attention he does — or doesn’t — pay to his style, how a character takes shape through what they wear, and the central role of the bullfighter’s costume in Tardes de soledad. 
 

The rules of Exquis are simple and playful: the first guest shares their unique perspective on the theme. At the end of the conversation, they introduce the next guest, who will in turn enrich the topic with their own vision. That guest then brings in a third, who introduces a fourth, and so on.

What unfolds, through this chain of encounters, is a multifaceted conversation — full of unexpected turns and surprising connections.
