La Playlist Invisible par Paul Lucas - Jean Touitou
For the third edition of The Invisible Playlist, Paul Lucas welcomes Jean Touitou, fashion designer and founder of the A.P.C. brand in 1987.
While this great lover of the Mediterranean is internationally known for the minimalism of his wardrobe and his sartorial knowledge, his passion for music is, indeed, unrestrained. As proof, at the headquarters of his Atelier de Production et de Création, on rue Madame in the 6th arrondissement, a recording studio created in 1993 has seen a surprisingly diverse cast of characters pass through, such as Bryan Adams, Joey Starr, Jarvis Cocker, Jonathan Richman, and Julian Schnabel, to name just a few.
A musician whose great luck is to have remained "amateur," as his guitar teacher says, Jean Touitou has recorded no fewer than 25 albums and has many others in mind that he has not yet had time to publish. Together, we will discuss, among the 24 titles he has selected for CRAVAN, the numerous vocal transformations of Bob Dylan, the creation of the 4th chord in the history of the blues, and his taste for the psychedelic garage punk records that he sold by mail order in the 70s.
