La Playlist Invisible by Paul Lucas - Rebecca Zlotowski

For the 6th edition of La Playlist invisible, Paul Lucas welcomes filmmaker and screenwriter Rebecca Zlotowski, for whom the silky, the raw, and the nostalgic blend so beautifully together. Through 24 tracks, we will attempt to explore “what brings us closest to our memories, to a recollection, a scent,” as she so aptly puts it, the most intimate of all things: talking about music.

There are those we’ve scribbled on scraps of paper full of crossings-out, those that follow us throughout our lives, spanning eras and their countless formats; there are those crafted by real humans, and all those that machines take mischievous pleasure in concocting, forming an ocean of suggestions impossible to still.

Today, playlists are everywhere: in our phones, on platforms, on the radio, in bars and cafés, the metro, taxis, and even in our beds. Within this overabundance, a few questions remain: where can singularity be found, far from algorithms? How can sincere collisions be created?
