La Playlist Invisible by Paul Lucas - Nicolas Becker

For this second edition of "The Invisible Playlist," Paul Lucas invites composer and sound designer Nicolas Becker. An insatiable sound collector, his achievements include sound supervision for films such as "La Haine," "The Pianist," "Gravity," and "Arrival," to name just a few. He won an Oscar and a BAFTA for his work on Darius Marder's "Sound of Metal" in 2020.

The scope of his activities is impressive. When he is not working with artist Philippe Parreno or filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu, Nicolas Becker performs on stage with The New Atlantis, a variable geometry group. The Frenchman also created the label Invisible Mountain with two English friends and enjoys acclimating in situ to the universe of the projects he immerses himself in. Even though he never wears headphones outside of the studio to stay directly connected with the world around him, Nicolas Becker has crafted an exclusive playlist for CRAVAN, featuring some of his favorite artists as well as sounds and music not available on any platform, representing what he considers most precious: the place and moment where you hear them.
