Sonia Sieff and Rizzoli NY are delighted to invite you to the preview signing of Rendez-vous! Sonia Sieff's latest book, published by Rizzoli NY.

Rendez-vous! bears witness to the gender evolution of the male nude, as well as to the revolution in the artist's own gaze. Featuring images of some fifty men, photographed from Europe to Africa, this book celebrates the male body in all its poetry and animality.

Biography Sonia Sieff

Sonia Sieff is a photographer and film-maker. Her vocation was born at the age of 17, when she began traveling. She then began working on film sets with renowned cinematographers, before turning to fashion.

Her style is marked by a mastery and love of light, as well as an obsession with personality and the body, which she expresses through nudes and portraits. In recent years, while contributing to numerous French and international magazines, she has also devoted herself to her personal projects and exhibitions. Her first book on the female nude, Les Françaises, was published in 2017 by Editions Rizzoli.

Her second book, dedicated to Oran, in the footsteps of Yves Saint Laurent's youth, will be published in September 2019. Returning to her first love, cinema, she has made a documentary film about her father, Jeanloup Sieff, and is preparing her first feature film. The latter tackles themes close to her heart: photography, fashion and feminism.
