Special Editions by Luca Marchetti - Dino Simonett
7:30pm - 8:30pm
75006 Paris
For this new meeting of his Special Editions, Luca Marchetti welcomes the publisher and perfume enthusiast Dino Simonett.
This year, he is publishing the editorial project Comme des Garçons Parfums 1994–2025. Between visual archives, sensory narration and childhood spirit, this anniversary monograph offers a completely unique reading of three decades of cult perfumes, just like its author.
Since 2014, Dino Simonett has been designing art books that are both radical and sumptuous, with the ideal model being the edition objects that he would immediately buy for himself if he came across them in a bookstore. The framework for this quest: his publishing house Simonett & Baer, founded in Basel with Martina Baer. Together, they imagine works that are sometimes difficult to classify, at the crossroads of art, design and literature, with a graphic requirement that is now rare.

Special Editions is a series of events dedicated to objects and books. At the intersection of design and publishing, Special Editions questions the status of works and objects that occupy a special place in the lives of creative individuals, authors.
Is there a story behind the object? What is the personal narrative, the emotion, the feeling behind the words, the lines, the forms? What does the book say about its author? What does the object say about the person who created it? And what, in turn, do the creator say about his object and the author about his book? What else do they say about those who collect them, appreciate them? To find out, Luca Marchetti offers through Special Editions a series of meetings for those who love slow time and intimate connections. The object is at the service of meaning in a conversation of another kind, at once escape, experience, entertainment and communion.
