Special Editions by Luca Marchetti - Pascal Monfort
7:30pm - 8:30pm
75006 Paris
For this May meeting, Luca Marchetti welcomes Pascal Monfort, founder of the REC trends marketing agency and keen observer of cultural changes. As an analyst of styles and desires, he taught the sociology of fashion for a long time before assisting major brands in their strategic thinking.
He also created EPHEMERA, a unique project of its kind: a bookstore dedicated to books and other fashion publications, both old and contemporary. Conceived as a place of memory and transmission, EPHEMERA takes a unique look at the eclecticism of printed forms at the heart of the contemporary stylistic imagination, at the crossroads of art, trends, and visual culture.
We will delve with him into his world as a reader-curator, for whom the book remains an object of desire, knowledge, and avant-garde.

Special Editions is a series of events dedicated to objects and books. At the intersection of design and publishing, Special Editions questions the status of works and objects that occupy a special place in the lives of creatives, authors.
Is there a story behind the object? What is the personal narrative, the emotion, the feeling behind the words, the lines, the forms? What does the book say about its author? What does the object say about the person who created it? And what, in turn, do the creator say about their object and the author about their book? What else do they say about those who collect them, appreciate them? To find out, Luca Marchetti proposes through Special Editions a series of meetings for those who love slow time and intimate correspondences. The object is at the service of meaning in a conversation of another kind, at once escape, experience, entertainment and communion.
